Next Saturday, the Portuguese team of the Media in Action project promotes two training actions: “Education for the Media and for Citizenship: how to promote the use of digital in school” in the cities of Coimbra and Porto. This is a very good form of celebrating the International Literacy Day.

The target audience is Child Care Educators, Elementary and Secondary School Teachers.

This training action aims to reinforce teachers’ knowledge about the intrinsic link between media education and citizenship, using practices and dynamics that imply the media and journalism as educational tools. The training is sponsored by the Directorate-General for Education, Network of School Libraries, National Reading Plan and Lusófona University of Porto.
